John Joshua Teague & Sarah Harris

John Joshua Teague was born May 06, 1850 in Cherokee County, Alabama the son of Isaac Teague and Margaret Jane Miller.

The family migrated from Alabama to Izard County Arkansas. It seems they made a stop in Missouri as Isaac and Jane had two children born in that state.

Married: He married SARAH HARRIS 1867. She was born 1848 in Tennessee, and died in Oklahoma.

John and Sarah lived in Stone County Arkansas until abt 1895 when they moved to Oklahoma. We have no date of death for this couple, it is said they both died the same day and were buried in the same grave somewhere in Stone County, Arkansas.

It is not known when they returned to Arkansas from Oklahoma.

Notes for ALICE SEXTON:
It is said Alice died in labor and that the child was not born.

OCTAVIA TEAGUE, b. 1880, Stone County,Arkansas; d. Pine Valley, Oklahoma; m. DICK J JONES, May 20, 1900, Indian Territory, Oklahoma; b. 1877, Arkansas; d. Pine Valley, Oklahoma.
