EMILY ELIZABETH "LIZ" TEAGUE was born December 14, 1866 in Madison Co., AR the daughter of JOHN CALVIN TEAGUE & SARAH (LEDBETTER)

She met (1) UNKNOWN TEXAN (JONES) 1886.

Notes for EMILY ELIZABETH "LIZ" TEAGUE: Emily had a son in 1886 when she was an unmarried woman. His name was Daniel Pleasant Teague and he was probably raised by his grandparents (John C. and Sarah) when young.

In the 1900 census, Pleas states that his father was born in Texas. It is possible he knew who his father was although, at this time, the family is not aware of the identity of this man.

Notes for UNKNOWN TEXAN (JONES): Viven Teague Berry, first cousin to Daniel Pleasant Teague, stated that Pleas' father was a Jones and she wondered if he was the "Preacher Jones" mentioned in her Aunt Liz Teague Samples' interview done at the age of almost 100.

Married: She married (2) FELIX SAMPLES January 19, 1898.
