Silas Joshua Teague & Nancy Golden
Silas Joshua Teague was born 19 June, 1806, in Tennessee, the son of Joshua Teague & Elizabeth Siler. Silas Joshua's family migrated at some unknown time to Knox Co/Whitley Co, KY during his childhood. There on 9 January 1831 he married Nancy Golden, daughter of Stephen Golden and Hannah Helms.
He died July 04, 1877 in Stephen County Texas, and is buried in Gunsight cemetery, Gunsight Texas.
Married: (1) Nancy Golden (b. 1813, Knox Co. KY, d. 27 Nov 1850) in Kentucky. Silas married (2) Lydia Lawrence.
The family were in the census of Cherokee County AL, 1850. Silas and two brothers, Isaac, and Jacob Teague, migrated from Alabama to Izard Co, Arkansas between 1850 and 1860 and Silas moved to Texas after 1870.

Nancy Golden Teague died three days after the birth of her last child on Nov 27 1850. Robert Carson Bruce was named for the two doctors attending his birth, Dr. Robert Carson and Dr. Robert Bruce.
