Jacob TEAGUE & Lydia Barnes
Jacob Teague was born abt 1750 in Frederick County, VA, the son of Moses Teague & Elizabeth (Loftin).
He died 10 June 1824 in Chatham Co., NC.
Married: He married Lydia Barnes
In 1767 he purchased property at German Flats, Mohawk River, New York
Province. He appeared on Muster Roll #20 at New Carlisle, Quebec, Canada in
1785 F805 On Muster Roll#20 at New Carlisle, 1785 (a Loyalist). In 1800 he
returned to North Carolina when the people were very near starvation, and he
knew if he returned he would be able to claim his inheritance from his father
Moses. Many so-called Loyalists changed their minds and returned to USA.

Jacob and Lydia became the parents of John Andrew in 1760, (died in
1843 in Hopetown, Quebec).
Jacob and Lydia became the parents of Margaret in German Flatts,
Mohawk River, about 1774 (died 1867 in Hopetown, Quebec).
