Joseph Cooper TEAGUE & Rebecca JONES
Joseph Cooper TEAGUE was born 12 Nov 1827, the son of SAMUEL TEAGUE, JR & PRUDENCE COOPER.
Marilyn Miller sent in the following on this family:
Mr. Teague, at his death, in the spring of 1882, left his wife and children a fine farm of 203 acres of land in a high state of cultivation, on which there is to be found a brick dwellin, said to be amongst the finest in the township. Their children are Oliver M., Mary S. (deceased), Oscar R. and Walter. Mrs. Teague, as was the lamented husband, is a worthy member of the Society of Friends."
This family, starting with Joseph's parents, Samuel, Jr. and Prudence, owned my mother-in-law's farm from about 1851 to 1888, and I believe that was where Joseph and his family lived at the time he died.
Married: Joseph married Rebecca JONES on 15 Oct 1852. Rebecca was born 11 Feb 1828. She died 15 Feb 1917.
Children:
Oliver M. TEAGUE was born 6 Aug 1853 and died 11 Aug 1900.
Mary S. TEAGUE was born 1 Jul 1857. She died 30 Aug 1858.
Webster Welsh TEAGUE was born 11 Jan 1860 and died 18 Aug 1941.
Morris Samuel TEAGUE was born 29 Jun 1862 and died 7 Jan 1920.
Oscar R. TEAGUE was born 10 Aug 1866 and died 9 Mar 1947.
Walter Leroy TEAGUE was born 25 Apr 1870 and died 23 Sep 1949.
