Abner Teague was born November 12, 1763 in Rowan, NC, the son of Joshua Teague & Dorothy Gaunt, and died January 07, 1842. Bur. Teague Cem. Newberry SC.

Married: He married AMELIA GARY (dau of Thomas Gary & Uriah Newman, of Bush River, Newberry) 1785 in Laurens SC. She died in 1820 and is buried at Teague Cem., Clinton

He died in Laurens County leaving a will dated Jan. 7, 1842 that mentioned the following children: Thomas, Elijah, Jesse and the widow and children of his deceased son Joshua Teague, and Emily, the wife of Godfrey.
