William Gaston Teague & Amelia "Millie" Thomas
William Gaston Teague, son of John C. Teague, was born in Wilson County, Tennessee, 15 October 1811.
Married: William married Amelia "Millie" Thomas (1811-1884) on 14 October 1831. She was the daughter of Zacchariah Thomas. Amanda was born 21 Apr 1811. She died 23 Oct 1884 and was buried in Old Clover Creek, Hardeman, Tn, Usa
William Gaston Teague and Amelia are buried in the Clover Creek Cemetery in Hardeman County.
William Gaston Teague and his family were pioneers in the Western movement coming to Hardeman County in the middle of the 1820's and obtaining land as early as the Tennessee State Land Grants. They settled on the Hardeman-Madison County line. He was a farmer and miller. He and his family were members of Clover Creek Baptist Church.
Children:
Mary Teague (1832 1878) married in 1852 Elijah Roark (1824-1896) the son of Joel Roark and Elizabeth Dean.
John Lee Teague (1834) was killed in Memphis during the Civil War. He was a Confederate soldier.
Joseph F. Teague (1837-1924) was postmaster In Teague, Tennessee.
Doretheira "Puss" Teague (1839-1924) married (1) a Townsend and (2) Elijah Roark (1824-1896) in 1881.
William Thomas Teague (1840-1911)
Susan H. Teague (1842-1926) married John E. Freeman (1837-1882).
Alexander Teague (1844).
Samuel Teague (1847-1925)
Pitzer Miller Teague (1851 1938)
Henry Teague (1853) died young.
