Andy Teage I live in South Devon, England, and I'm interested in finding any relations unknown, living or dead. We have a family tree going back about 300 years and pretty well all the Teages that we know of originated in Devonshire. We have documents (or copies) that refer to the family's involvement in business in Dartmouth, Devon ,as far back as 1533. For many years the family business was the port wine trade, however all that finished early this century. We have never found a Teage (with that spelling) that we don't know about. However, I suspect that through the internet we may be surprised. Incidently, the family home in Devon was called Sanders. Any Teages with a possible Devon connection - get in touch.

I am trying to find information on the John Tague family. He and his family came to this country from Ireland around the late 1830's early 1840's. Some of the family lived in Providence, R. I. Five Children that we know of. (1)Elizabeth Tague b. 1827(Leitrim Ire.) m. Patrick Flynn and had 2 children, Thomas and Mary Ann. After husband died Elizabeth moved to Davenport, Ia. with her children. (2)James Tague was b. 1829 (Sligo Ire.) m. Mary Malone in Davenport, Ia. in 1856. They had 1 child Bridget. (3)Patrick Tague b. 1831 (Ire.) m. Margaret McHugh in the late 1850's because they had a child Mary Ann in Davenport, Ia in 1860. Also John, Mary, James and Thomas. (4)An unknown daughter who married a Reynolds and lived in Providence in Providence, R.I. in 1911. An obit. mentions a Mrs. N. Reynolds of Providence, R.I. We think her maiden name may be Ann because a Godmother of one of Patrick's children lists an Ann Reynolds. that is all we know of her. (5) Mary Tague b. 1835 (Leitrim, Ire.) m. Patrick Gilany in Providence, R.I. Came to Davenport, Iowa with other children. We believe that the parents are John Tague and Mary Tague. This is what is on the marriage cert. for James Tague in 1856. Wher they were before this is a mystery. Can anyone please help?
